Using the Yahoo Popup Blocker
The Yahoo toolbar Popup Blocker is enabled by default when you install the Yahoo Toolbar

Quick Allow
To allow a Popup only once without changing your Popup Blocker general or site settings hold down the Ctrl Key and click the link that you wish to open.

How do I see pop-ups that have been blocked?
To view pop-up windows that have been blocked, please do the following:
  1. Click the Pop-Up Blocker menu (Popup Blocker Menu Icon).
  2. Click View Recently Blocked Pop-Ups.
  3. Select an item from the sub-menu to see what was blocked. If no items are present, no pop-ups have been blocked.

NOTE: NOTE: the sub-menu only lists pop-ups that were blocked in the current browser session. The list is automatically cleared when you close all your browser windows.

How do I turn Pop-Up Blocker on and off?
Yahoo! Pop-Up Blocker is only available for Yahoo! Toolbar 5.6 or newer for Internet Explorer 6. Pop-Up Blocker is enabled by default, however you can turn Pop-Up Blocker on and off using the Pop-Up Blocker menu (Yahoo Toolbar Popup Blocker Menu Icon).

To check the status of Pop-Up Blocker

  1. Click the Pop-Up Blocker toolbar icon.
  2. Look at the Enable Pop-Up Blocker line.
  3. If there's a checkmark next to it, Pop-Up Blocker is enabled. Otherwise it's disabled.
  4. You can also tell by the toolbar icon. It's yellow if enabled, and gray if disabled.

To turn Pop-Up Blocker on or off

  1. Click the Pop-Up Blocker menu.
  2. Select Enable Pop-Up Blocker.
  3. If the checkmark was present, Pop-Up Blocker is now off. If the checkmark was not present, Pop-Up blocker is now enabled.

NOTE: NOTE: Pop-Up Blocker is not available for Yahoo! Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox has a built-in pop-up blocker and does not require an additional one.
