General Email Setup Tips
Most people who email you will expect a response either the same day that they mailed you or at least within a day of the time of mailing. It is therefore important to check for your emails on a regular basis and to respond to them promptly. The ideal period to check for emails is about once every 15 minutes, (Your email client will have an option to choose how often you wish to check your inbox), checking much more regularly that this tends to be counterproductive and checking at ridiculously short intervals (less than 5 minutes) simply ties up your resources on you computer and internet connection plus putting pointless load on the email server and thus slowing the service.
