This page will show how to configure and use the Outlook Express 5 Email program on Mac.
Click Tools >> Accounts from the menu.

Click New.

For Account Type select POP.

Click OK to continue to the Edit Accounts screen (If you know what you are doing)

or

Click Assist Me to continue the basic setup.

In Display Name: Type Your Full name or company name.
This will appear on all emails sent by you. Use upper and lower case i.e. Linx Data Ltd.

Click Next to continue, (the right-facing arrow in the bottom right-hand corner).

Select the I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use.

In Email address: Type your email address i.e. (info@domain.co.uk).

Click Next to continue, (the right-facing arrow in the bottom right-hand corner).

For My incoming mail server is a(n) ? server. select POP.

In Incoming mail ( POP, IMAP ) server: Type your incoming mail server as supplied i.e. mail.domain.co.uk

In Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Type your outgoing mail server as Provided by your ISP.

Click Next to continue, (the right-facing arrow in the bottom right-hand corner).

For Account ID: Type your user name as supplied i.e. username@domain.co.uk.

In Password: Type your password as provided i.e. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Ensure the Save password checkbox is selected.

Click Next to continue, (the right-facing arrow in the bottom right-hand corner).

In Account Name: Type Your Full name or company name.
Use upper and lower case i.e. Linx Data Ltd.

Ensure the Include this account in my "Send & Receive All" schedule checkbox is selected.

Click Finish to complete the setup wizard.

If you chose Assist Me you will now have completed your setup. If however you chose OK to continue to the Edit Accounts screen you will now see the following dialogue box.

In Account Name: Type Your Full name or company name.
Use upper and lower case i.e. Linx Data Ltd.

In Name: Type Your Full name or company name.
This will appear on all emails sent by you. Use upper and lower case i.e. Linx Data Ltd.

In Email address: Type your email address i.e. (info@domain.co.uk).

For Account ID: Type your user name as supplied i.e. username@domain.co.uk.

In POP server: Type your incoming mail server as supplied i.e. mail.domain.co.uk

In Password: Type your password as provided i.e. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Ensure the Save Password checkbox is selected.

In SMTP server: Type your outgoing mail server as Provided by your ISP.

Click OK to complete the setup wizard.
