This page will show how to configure and use the Outlook 98 Email program.
Start Microsoft Outlook 98.
Click

Click
Microsoft Outlook 98 "Add >> Mail" select
In Display Name: Type Your Name (as you would actually type it using upper and lower case i.e. Linx Data Ltd.) Enter your first and last name or business name.
Click to continue.

In E-mail Address: Type Your E-mail Address i.e (info@domain.co.uk)
Enter your e-mail address.
Click to continue.

Choose POP3 from the My incoming mail server is a ? server. Type drop down box.
In Incoming mail (POP3) server: Type your incoming mailserver i.e. (mail.domain.co.uk)
Your incoming server is mail.mydomain.co.uk, where "mydomain.co.uk" is the name of your domain.
In Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Type your outgoing mail server as Supplied by your ISP
Enter SMTP server details as supplied by your ISP for outgoing mail server.
Click to continue.

In POP account name: Type your username as supplied i.e. username@domain.co.uk.
In Password: enter your password as provided i.e. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Click to continue.

Choose the radio button for connection - corresponding to how you connect to the internet.
Connect using my phone line will cause Outlook 98 to automatically dial out.
Connect using my local Area Network will connect using an existing LAN (Local Area Network) connection.
I will establish my internet connection manually means that you will have to dial in to your connection yourself before Starting Outlook 98.
Click and then to exit the setup wizard.
