This page will show how to configure and use the Windows Outlook Express Email program.
Start Outlook Express 6.

If it is the first time you have run Outlook Express on this computer, you will be prompted for your email settings immediately.

Click on Tools >> Accounts.

Click on the Add button. Then click on the Mail option. This will start the Internet Connection Wizard to set up your new email account.

In Display Name: Type Your Name (as you would actually type it using upper and lower case i.e. Linx Data Ltd.) Enter your first and last name or business name.

Click Next to continue.

In E-mail address: Type your email address into the text box in the form: info@domain.co.uk,
this must all be in lower case.

Click Next to continue.

In Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP)server field type your mailserver address as supplied i.e. mail.domain.co.uk
In Outgoing mail (SMTP)server: Enter your settings as supplied by your ISP
Then click Next to continue.

In the Account Name: field type your user name as supplied. i.e. username@domain.co.uk

In the Password: field type your password as supplied i.e. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

If you do not wish to type in your password every time you check your mail, click in the box to Remember password.

You have now completed setting up your email account.
Click Finish.

Click on Close in the "Internet Accounts" window.

Now you can click Send & Recieve to test your new account once you are connected to the internet.
